A tribute to veterans will be held at the Floyd Norgaard Cultural Center in Stanwood on Saturday November 10, 2018—the day before the holiday’s centennial anniversary. The hour long observance begins at 11 a.m. The Cultural Center is located at 27130 102nd Ave. NW. where a new Community Veterans Memorial has just been completed. The occasion includes short talks by veterans and middle schoolers on the significance of the day and why we honor veterans. A homage to Old Glory will be given and service songs for all branches of the armed services will be performed. A missing man table ceremony remembering those veterans who were lost in distant parts of the world will be presented.
